    We are looking for a highly driven and result focused Marketing Executive with top tier background in multiple marketing channels especially online (display, affiliate, PPC). A proactive ‘can do’ attitude, boundless enthusiasm and resourcefulness, analytical and detail-oriented mind-set is critical for this position. This is a key role where your work will contribute directly to the company’s revenue and shape the future of the entire business.     You will develop and implement Direct Response advertising campaigns in order to gain a larger market share across multiple countries globally. You will learn the secrets of in-house media buying in order to driving profitable traffic online, with a great mixture of analytical and creative tasks. In addition to acquisition marketing, you will learn and work on nurturing our active customer base with promotions using newsletter marketing, onsite communications and SMS. Our 11 million database of customers will be your playground to find new ways to engage and monetise it. By doing this in an industry leading manner, meeting or exceeding the business and financial goals will be your key performance metric. As part of a wider globalisation project, you will be required to help with geographic expansion plans to help MadBid.com become the #1 gamified ecommerce website on the planet.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Meet or exceed the business and financial goals through delivering the agreed metrics;
    • Run and optimise existing marketing campaigns, using creative ideas to scale volumes of traffic whilst maintaining CPA levels.
    • Work closely with the Marketing Team to penetrate each existing market using advertising techniques used by the smartest Direct Response advertisers in the industry.
    • Lead geographic expansion strategy, working with people from various teams including the Tech team and business development.

    Key requirements:

    • 1+ year experience in marketing (online display/native preferable) and comfortable using marketing KPIs such as CPL, CPA, CTR, CPM, CR;
    • Expertise in online and mobile analytics, developing metrics for monitoring and generating actionable plans for execution post analysis;
    • Experience in marketing innovative forms of user experiences online or on mobile that required educating customers about them;
    • Extremely diligent worker, confident in making decisions based on real time data and eager to learn;
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrives in a fast paced environment;
    • 9-5 attitude is NOT what we are looking for. Work hard play hard is what we’re all about;
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is paramount;
    • Analytical skills, sound mathematical skills with the ability to manage and analyse large data dumps using Microsoft Excel. SQL knowledge is a plus.
    • Innovation and problem solving — trying different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities. Out of the box thinker.
    • Strategic decision making — obtaining information and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or visions; committing to a course of action to accomplish those after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organisational values.
    • Cutting edge execution skills; proven ability to drive and deliver results; ability to develop systems and processes that provide structure and discipline;
    • Willing to travel for work for meetings/conferences, both in London and internationally if required (of course expenses paid by the company)

    eCommerce Intern
    Internship will emphasize most facets of global marketing. Your tasks would include anything from procurement, marketing (Online, social media, TV, press and radio), digital content management, and customer services. As this market is not launched yet, in the beginning you will help us with some country and business development related tasks such as webpage translation and research for logistic partners and suppliers. Candidates must have a strong interest in International Marketing (online and offline) and eCommerce in general. There will be, depending on your experience, interest and company needs other business development projects as well.

    This position will also include the conception, planning and execution of email campaigns, analysing web traffic and other competitive market information. Furthermore, lead roles for mini projects can be given to you, if you prove eager to get more responsibility. Depending on your degree of interest and capabilities, you could also contribute to our marketing strategies. For example, one of our previous interns created a full TV ad for MadBid.com!     Operations Internship (Buying and Supply Chain Management)

    Accounting and Finance Intern
    This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and strong Internet company in Central London. We are based in Pimlico, a short walk away from Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Tate Britain. You will assist the CFO and the accountants of the business in diverse tasks that will improve your professional skills, technical skills and organisational capabilities. The finance team is responsible for all the day to day transactional accounting for the business, which includes the tracking of all transactions and the management of any government reporting (e.g. tax and VAT) across all the 15 countries where we operate.
